IF YOU COULD MAKE ONE CHANGE TO ROAD RULES, WHAT WOULD THAT BE:
WARNING: Soapbox time! There is no way I could ever make just one change, but AutoWeek
editor Rich Ceppos has the right idea. He said, “Driver education and training courses
must be much tougher, and for those already with licenses who mess up, they should be
sent to a “real” driving school. Like Bondurant, Barber or the Derek Daly Driving
Academy. Also, those who go, have to pay for it too, although insurance companies would
be barred from raising rates. In essence, the cost would stay pretty similar, but
people would actually get something out of it.” That would make me sleep much easier at
night.
